It all comes down to money, because the pharmaceutical companies make way more money from return customers than they would from one time customers. In my opinion they're not necessarily "out to get us," they're just out to make more money and keeping people sick is just part of the equation. If getting people healthy made them more money you can bet they would do it in a heartbeat! But that's not the world that we live in, sick people make drug companies money, so might as keep them sick and keep raking in the money! Although I do think Western medicine is great for accidents, broken bones, infectious diseases and things of that nature, most medicine is toxic in the long run. But I see no problem with depending on medication in the short term until you can figure out a healthier drug free lifestyle plan for you.
