In this video, you will learn about the health benefits, medicinal uses, and with what to substitute cream of tartar (better known as potassium hydrogen tartrate).
Uses
Cream of tartar, that is actually a byproduct of the winemaking process, is an acidic powder that is typically used in baking to stabilize creams and eggs, as well as adding volume and thickness to the final product.
You may also sprinkle cream of tartar in the area that you often get ants, to keep them away.
Medicinal uses and health benefits of cream of tartar
It is used for gallstones prevention, small stones, usually made of cholesterol, that form in the gallbladder. Some of the chemicals that exist in the gallbladder, such as cholesterol, calcium carbonate, and calcium bilirubinate, can solidify into either one large stone or several small ones. Up to 20 percent of Americans may have gallstones, yet only 1 to 3 percent develop symptoms.
According to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 18 percent the United States adults aged 18 years or older smoke cigarettes today. Potassium hydrogen tartrate may help you to quit smoking. Cigarette smoking also causes 87% of lung cancer deaths. It is also responsible for many other cancers and serious health problems.
Cream of tartar substitute
You may use 2 tbsps of vinegar or lemon juice to create the acidic effect of 1 tsp of cream of tartar in a recipe.

http://www.bensound.com/- Gayle Scovel: You should be able to find it in the baking isle of any grocery store. At our Walmart, the baking isle, in with the spices (like the curry, celery seed, coriander, cumin. Its usually alphabetically arranged).
- Zanatis: Good stuff! Thank you for sharing.
- Brett Houston Tube: Seriously? You put ads over the text we have to read?
- Katherine Schreuders: I found it with the spices.
- dale Webb: Morrions tesco sainsburys
- Je No: Where can I find this cream of tartar cuz I've went to a lot of stores but still can't find cream of tartar
- Mikael Vitaly Vyacheslav: "Carbohydrates and insulin"
The most important part is to cut back on Carbohydrates , wheat , potatoes sugars and starches (carbs). These are the foods that stimulate secretion of insulin the most . If you didn't know already, insulin is the main fat storage hormone in the body. When insulin goes down, ,,,fat has an easier time getting out of the fat stores in your body and the body starts burning fats instead of carbs.
Another benefit of lowering insulin is that your kidneys shed excess sodium (salt) and water out of your body, which reduces bloat and unnecessary water weight ( adema ) and its healthy for your kidneys .
If you have "sleep apnea" or you go to bed later than 11:00pm its almost impossible to lose weight . Also stress and being angy stressed out elevates your insulin for 12 hours and you will gain weight 100%. Sleeping and stress is very important for weight weight loss and a low carb diet . Sleep controls "all your hormones" like HGH ..no sleep you never lose weight .
a Good diets for people when they are insulin resistant is the Paleo diet ,adkins ,or eat high protein and low carb diet and alcohol is the worst for the liver and to lose weight .
.The liver health health and Sleeping is the most very import to lose weight .Best supplements for the liver health is choline ,TMG , and Alph-lipoic acid , eating Red Beets .......and taking 3 grams of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) one hour before meal . Also very important to keep your "homocystenes" levels down below 6 .Best to lower your homocysteins is to take B-6 100mg ,B-12 and "" TMG.""...Oh one more , all sweetners elevate insulin so does "Stevia" !! ..yes Stevia you want to lose weight get off your sweet addiction ...no sweets , no "Stevia" ,no honey ,no artificial sweetners ..give it up sugar junkies !..
---In the 1940s, the agricultural chemists found that they could fatten their animals faster if they poisoned their metabolic systems with an anti-thyroid drug. The found the animals would get fat on very little food. Yet, the drug turned out to leave a carcinogenic residue in the meat. Farmers soon found out that corn and soybeans containing polyunsaturated fats (PUFA) would do the same as the anti-thyroid drugs and suppress the respiration of the animals and make them get fat on very little food. In the process they found that they were getting these yellow-fat diseases and brain degenerations (degeneration of the gonads, infertility, and so on).
Around the same time the medical people noticed that the cholesterol was lowered in the process of eating a lot of these polyunsaturated fats. And that led to the spreading of the marketing of unsaturated fats to the human food supply, rather than just for the fattening of farm animals. And since people didn't want to gain weight on the least amount of food, they needed a new reason for selling their fats to humans. And, lowering cholesterol became the excuse in humans.
But the agriculturists knew all through the 1940s that corn oils and soy oils were very fattening, and eventually, very toxic. But since they sold their animals as soon as they reached a marketable size, they didn't care (if they died later; they were killing them before they had the chance to die of the degenerative diseases)." -RP
Bottom line: Although, the polyunsaturated fats will lower cholesterol (by suppressing the immune system), one of their main functions is to fatten animals, including you if you consume them, on lower calories. This is why farmers use high polyunsaturated fats foods like corn and soy to fatten their animals.
What foods are high in polyunsaturated oils ? Vegetables, seed and nut oils. Nuts, seeds, soy, corn, fatty fish like salmon, omega 3 and 6 oils, fish oil, and animals that are fed a high polyunsaturated diet that are not ruminants- pigs, rabbits, chickens .

- Mikael Vitaly Vyacheslav: I bought cream of tatar and i take 3 capsules a day (double OO size) ( i make my own capsules) it bought my blood pressure from 155 to 126 ! no more pills from the pharmacy for me ! this the best thisng to take for highbllod pressure ..donot take over 3 tea spoons a day or it could damage your kidneys .
- Texanboiii: Je No stop going to the Asian stores then.
- Akariel: Insulin doesn't store fat... It transports Glucose to your cells.
When you consume a high saturated fat diet it blocks the insulin receptors and prevents the mitochondria in your cells from getting their primary fuel source, which means they don't reproduce and can't convert all that glucose into caloric energy. That is when the fat storage, insulin resistance & high blood suger happens.
Your plan is to lower the fuel source ( Carbs ) rather than remove the blockage ( Saturated Fat & Dietary Cholesterol ), which will help fix some symptoms but won't fix the underlaying condition. Once more you are failing to make the distinction between basic carbohydrates ( Such as Reeses Peanut Butter Cups ) and complex Carbohydrates ( such as whole wheat).
Which is critically important because complex Carbs are our only dietary source of Fiber & Starches, Which servs a Host of Majorly important regulatory functions in the human body. Ranging from Hormonal health because fiber helps push excess hormones, fats, sugers ect out of the body. Too starches feeding the Microbiom in our lower gut that plays a vital role in our immume system.
Human beings are naturally Fruit & Starch eaters, our bodies run on Glucose as it's primary active fuel source. In fact it was the cooking of starches such as Yams that most scientist now believe grew our brains.
Once more, Corn and Soy is fattening to Grass Eaters who are use to Extremely slow digestive rates with little to no Fat. Any kind of food Oil is going to be fattening because its concentrated Fat which makes it extremely Calorically dense. Since Corn and Soy specifically are used in a wide variety of industries its already mass produced making it Cheap Calorically dense food for cattle.
That doesn't make Soy, or even Corn for that matter bad for human consumption, it's when you super concentrate either fuel source of Fat & Suger that you create a caloric density & insulin resistance nightmare. Also known as the Meat-Sweet Diet or The Standard American Diet.
The best example of this is the historic diabetes rates in Asia, especially Japan. Historically The Japanese ate a high carb diet, mostly starches such as rice and vegetables with meat being a luxury expense. But in the 90s fast food chains and American food started becoming massively popular and diabetes rates, which had previously been almost unheard of in most the country, began to sky rocket.
In the end, if weight & not health is your primary goal? Eat less move more, its basic thermodynamics. Less inputs then outputs, burn more calories then you consume.
Unless you have rare genetics, you will be good too go.
If you want better health? Eat as many whole plant foods as you can while eating as little processed junk and as little meat dairy and eggs as best as possible for you personal to manage.
