Find out the health benefits of the alkaline diet and which foods are alkaline.
The alkaline diet is also known as the acid-alkaline diet or alkaline ash diet.
If your body is in a very acidic state, it will seek balance, and may do so by drawing essential nutrients from the bones. When the physical body is in an alkaline state, you will be less prone to disease and cellular damage.
The alkaline diet promotes eating mostly organic plant-based foods high in selenium, vitamin C, potassium, iron, and zinc; all of which support gut health, cardiovascular system, and the immune system.

Furthermore, this diet has been shown to lower the risk of other chronic diseases, including stroke as well as improve cognitive function and memory.
